Yordanka Lyubenova was born on January 21, 1955 in Plovdiv. She graduated from National Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov”, specialty Volin and piano obbligato. In 1979 she graduated from The National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts with a degree in Acting in the class of professor Elka Mihaylova. Afterwards, she worked in the theatres in Vratsa and Plovdiv. Since 1985 she is a part of the ensembre of Sofia Theatre. Roles: Helena in “A Midsummer Night's Dream” from William Shakespeare, Dorothea in “The Barrier” from Pavel Vezhinov, Electra in “The Oresteia” from Aeschylus, Characters in “Noah`s Ark” from Yordan Radichkov, Betty in “The Beggar`s Opera” from John Gay, Ambaritza in “Priests and Witches” from texts of priest Mincho Krastev, Sophronius of Vratsa and others, The Mother-in-Law in “Kuchkata” from Theodora Dimova, Marinitza in “Albena” from Yordan Yovkov, The Raven in "Dangerous adventures with characters with sweet" from Nedyalko Yordanov, Skirina in “Princess Turandot” from Carlo Gozzi and others.She has roles in Bulgarian feature and television movies and other projects. She uses Russian and German languages.
