Plamen Manasiev was born on April 12, 1964 in Burgas. He graduated from The National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in 1990 with a degree in Acting for theater in the class of professor Nikolay Liutskanov. He joined the ensemble of Sofia Theatre later in the same year. Roles: Ferdinand in “The Tempest” from William Shakespeare, Îðèð in “School for Buffons” from Michel de Ghelderode, Characters in “Noah`s Ark” from Yordan Radichkov, Denis Diderot in “The Libertine” from Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, Lazar in “Boulevards of Love” from Stefan Tsanev, Julien Portal in “A Hotel Between the Worlds of the Living and the Dead” from Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, Omurtag in “The Horse of Alexander the Great” from Stefan Tzanev, Jonathan in “Arsenic and Old Laces” from Joseph Kesserling, Gremio in “The Taming of the Shrew” and Tybalt in “Romeo and Juliet” from William Shakespeare, Nyagul in “Albena” from Yordan Yovkov, James in “They Shoot Horses, Don`t They?” from Horace McCoy, Zemlianika in "The Government Inspector" from Nikolai Gogol, Truffaldino in “Princess Turandot” from Carlo Gozzi, and others.
He had performances in the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in the plays of Alexander Morfov, “The Tempest” (from William Shakespeare); Guy Shelley, “Ruy Blas” (from Victor Hugo), and “Shaving Wind” (international project); Images in "Kiss Me" from Anna Petrova - Theatre "Barbukov".
He participated in the musical “Hello, Dolly!” in the National Music Theatre "Stefan Makedonski". He has roles in Bulgarian and international feature and television productions and commercials. He is a member of the guild of actors working in dubbing. He speaks Russian and English languages.
