Milena Zhivkova was born on December 2, 1960 in Sofia. As a school student she participated in the child radio theater and many youth radio broadcasts. She recorded children`s stories in “Balkantone”. She graduated with a degree in Acting from The National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in 1987 in the class of professor Elka Mihaylova. Following her graduation, she worked for three years in the Vratsa Theatre, before joining the ensemble in Sofia Theatre in 1990. Roles: Canina in “Valpone” from Ben Jonson, The Girl in “The Fortress” from Abe Kōbō, Ariel in “A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy” from Woody Allen, Klara in “PhD” from Branislav Nusic, Charlotte in “Madame de Sade” from Yukio Mishima, Nell in “Endgame” from Samuel Beckett, The Wife in “The Suede Jacket” from Stanislav Stratiev, Characters in “Noah`s Ark” from Yordan Radichkov, Emilia in “Kuchkata” from Theodora Dimova, Keranitza in “Albena”from Yordan Yovkov, Rosemary in “They Shoot Horses, Don`t They?” from Horace McCoy, and others. She also has roles in Bulgarian feature films and television series.
