Mihail Milchev was born on January 21, 1965 in Sofia. He graduated from The National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in 1990 with a degree in Acting in the class of professor Nikolay Liutskanov and a degree in Law from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Since 1990 he is a part of the ensemble of Sofia Theatre. He also performed in several plays of New Dramatic Theatre “Tear and Laughter” and “Free Theatre”. Roles: The Daddy in “Elizabeth Bam” – Volumes One and Two from Daniil Kharms, Carlen in “School for Buffons” from Michel de Ghelderode (“Askeer” award nomination), Milorad in “PhD” from Branislav Nusic, Perry Smith in “In Cold Blood” from Truman Capote, Simeon in “A Feast in a Time of Democracy” from Stefan Tzanev, Mozart in “Farewell, Mozart” – a copyright show from Boyko Bogdanov, Bengtsson and The Ghost “The Ghost Sonata” from August Strindberg, Baron Tuzenbach in “Three Sisters” from Anton Chekhov, Zaeko in in “Noah`s Ark” from Yordan Radichkov, Characters in the copyright shows from Boyko Bogdanov, “The watch or the eternal Balkan tavern”, “The Waiter or the eternal Balkan tavern”, “The Dreaming Being”, Neoptolemus in “Philoctetes”, Grumio in “The Taming of the Shrew” from William Shakespeare, Friar Laurence in “Romeo and Juliet” from William Shakespeare, The Man in “Scratches from the rain” from Yana Dobreva, Fred in “They Shoot Horses, Don`t They?” from Horace McCoy, Khlopov in “The Government Inspector” from Nikolai Gogol, Cardinal Richelieuin “The Three Musketeers” from Alexandre Dumas, and others.
In 2010 he wins the “ICARUS” award for male supporting role for his portrayal of Schefler in “The Ugly” from Marius Mayenburg. He has roles in Bulgarian and international feature movies and television programs. He uses English and Russian languages and practices dancing, singing, playing percussion instruments, fencing and stage combat.
