Ivaylo Geraskov was born on February 17, 1954 in Varna. He graduated from The National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts with a degree in Acting in the class of professor Elka Mihaylova. For a period of time he worked in Vratsa Dramatic Theater, before joining the ensemble of Sofia Theatre in 1982. Roles: Orin in “Electra in Black” from Eugene O`Neill, Zhadov in “A Profitable Position” from Ostrovsky, Neoptolemus in “Philoctetes” from Hayner Muller, Vladimir Bendell in “Game of Oedipus” from Oldřich Daněk, The Client in “In the Solitude of Cotton Fields” from Bernard-Marie Koltes, Laertes in “Hamlet” from Shakespeare, Garcin in “No Exit” from Jean-Paul Sartre, Hristoforov in “At the Foot of Vitosha” from Peyo Yavorov, Tadeusz in “A Night of Tests” from Jerzy Lyutovski, The Young in “At Six at The Latest” from Mark Perio, The Old Man in “The Ghost Sonata” from August Strindberg, Ivan in “Let`s Kill Matilda” from Orlin Dyakov, Alexandra`s Father in “Kuchkata” from Theodora Dimova, Andersen in “Lord and Shadow” from Stig Dalager and others.
He has participated in over 10 Bulgarian feature films and has more than 15 roles in international film productions. He is a winner of awards from the Varna Film Festival for Best Actor for his role in the movies "Cry for Help" and "Characteristic". He holds a nomination for the "Askeer” award for the role of Astrov in" Uncle Vanya "by Chekhov, Drama Theater Burgas.
