As a continuation of the successful art events for children, during the previous theatre season, Sofia Theatre developed Project Art workshops for kids: “How does the theatre work?”

During the last weekend, of the ensuing 7 months, there will be demonstrations, workshops, and games on the following themes:

- Literature

- Decor

- Costumes

- Lighting and sound

- Masks and puppets

- Make-up and wigs

- Stage-property

The project Art workshops for kids: “How does the theatre work?” is a natural continuation of the activities of Sofia Theatre towards creating a contemporary theatrical environment, in which the children feel comfortable – an environment, which predisposes them.

We aim to instill love of art in thechildren`s audience through organizing interactive events, communicating informally with them, working with various materials, and maintaining their interest and curiosity.

We want to open the doors to any space in the theatre to new audience. Our goal is to provoke in children the desire to return again in the cultural institution.

The program for the first section “Literature” includes:

October 29th (Saturday) – 10.30 – 11.30 – Game of theater

October 29th (Saturday) – 12.00 – 13.00 – Game of theater

October 30th (Sunday) – 13.00 – 14.00 – “Reading of an English tale” with language school “Study with Me”

October 30th (Sunday) – 16.30 – 17.30 – “Ìàêå a tale” withDaria Simeonova and APLI

The tickets are already available at the box offices of Sofia Theatre. The places are limited, so that every child can participate adequately in the program.

The project is carried out with financial support from National Fund “Culture”.
